” My first time on top of the Empire State Building! What an experience.. to do an interview session with 20 journalists high up on the 86th floor outside on the platform!! Blue skies, the sun was shining – and the view was just breathtaking!! ” – Thomas Gold
This was a very special moment. Wednesday 23rd Jan started with a standard issue morning coffee and ended with a memory that Thomas is certain to never forget.
NYC is a very important place to Thomas. It’s no secret that there is fast becoming a rich musical understanding between the fans in New York and how Thomas loves to express his music in a live environment. It works. There is a connection. What better setting to discuss this topic than with one of the best views of Manhattan behind you.
After some planning for the year ahead with his team, Thomas headed over to the 34th Street entrance of the Empire State Building. There he had the pleasure of ascending to the top of the iconic building, for his first ever visit, in the company of press that included Vibe Magazine, One Beat, Do Androids Dance, Getty Images, Wire Image, White Raver Rafting, EDMNYC to name but a few. With the Fanfare NYC show fast approaching that weekend, and the ever-expanding weekly radio show/podcast, there was much to be discussed!
After filming and interviews, Thomas took some time to sit and reflect on New York and look forward to what has arguably been the most important and exciting event of his career so far – the sold out Roseland Ballroom!
